Up and running in Hong Kong

It’s fair to say that opening a new office, and taking one more step towards realising the long terms goals of the business, gives everyone within the Definitive Consulting leadership team great satisfaction.

Our latest addition in Hong Kong, our fourth in the Asia-Pacific region, is a case in point. It continues our rapid expansion into the world’s key finance and legal markets and exemplifies a strategy we embarked on some time ago.

We recognised very early that global mergers across the professional services markets, and the emergence of specialist regional hubs like Hong Kong and Singapore*, gave us a chance to realise significant growth opportunities –simply by establishing local market operations offering recognisable Definitive Consulting expertise and service levels wherever our clients need them.

Hong Kong clearly fits that description. Accordingly, it delivers a full range of executive search services across five practice groups, and is staffed by respected consultants with extensive experience in their specialist markets. More broadly, the office acts as a hub for the North East Asia region, whilst an existing office in Singapore is a hub for recruitment across South East Asia.

Of course, the success of our strategy also relies on the quality of our people. In that sense, we are very fortunate to have two market-leading specialists driving forward our Asia-Pacific business, now that Robert Shaw has joined as our Managing Partner- Professional Services, Asia-Pacific.

Robert brings over 15 years experience of recruiting senior finance professionals to the role and will work closely with Gareth Chambers, Managing Partner- Asia-Pacific, to help cement our key relationships across the region.

We’re delighted to have, in Robert and Gareth, two such talented, experienced and well-respected specialists on board to lead our operations across the wider Asia-Pacific region. Their knowledge and insight, as well as their market relationships, will ensure we continue our strong growth across the region.
